Coritiba confirms Paraguayan midfielder Ramón Martínez, loaned by Atlético-MG

Coritiba confirmed the signing of midfielder Ramón Martínez on Thursday. The 24-year-old comes on loan from Atlético-MG until February 2021, when the Brazilian Championship ends.

The squad's first foreigner in the season, the Paraguayan midfielder was not being used by Jorge Sampaoli at Galo. He arrived at Atlético-MG in June 2019, after standing out in Guaraní do Paraguay, where he was revealed. He made a total of 14 games and hasn't played since February.

- He is a player with a lot of quality. We know the squad that Atlético-MG has. An athlete who was not being used and will give us some possibilities, for example, to play as first or second midfielder, or even a defender. He has enormous physical capacity, but he also has the technical level and very good game reading. Surely he comes to add and qualify our group - said coach Jorginho.

In Coritiba he will have competition from Matheus Bueno, Matheus Galdezani, Matheus Sales and Hugo Moura.

Ramón appears as a replacement in Coritiba after Renê Júnior was returned to Corinthians last week. In addition, Nathan Silva may be leaving Coxa. Before Paraguay, Coritiba had announced the midfielder Hugo Moura, loaned by Flamengo.
