ISEPPE SCORED “THE GOAL THAT PELÉ DIDN’T SCOPE” AND HAS A MILLIONAIRE FINE; DISCOVER

17-year-old player still looking for his first opportunity in Galo’s main team

Matheus Iseppe is the name of the Atlético-MG academy. At 17 years old, the boy is one of those signed up to play in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, with the under-20 team. This year, the player had an extended contract, an increased fine and is still waiting for an opportunity in the main team.

The 17-year-old player had his contract renewed in October with the Minas Gerais club. The contract lasts until the end of 2028. With this extension, there was also an increase in the fine, which was already worth millions.

The updated value for Brazilian clubs starts at R$50 million and can reach R$60 million. The fine for breach of contract involving clubs abroad remains at 50 million euros (R$267 million).

Iseppe collects great goals, has already scored the "goal that Pelé didn't score" and has a hat-trick with the Galo shirt. The attacking midfielder arrived and has already played for the Under-20s in addition to his category, the Under-17s. In 2023, there are 25 games and 22 scheduled. An average of 0.88 per game.

During the season, Felipão was asked about using the boy in the main team and was emphatic in saying that there is still a way to go for the boy.

- He's going to do something in the under-20s, first. If he shows something there, I'll look. First he crawls, then he walks. It's all very beautiful out there. Here is different. It may pass, it may not pass, but with me it will pass the under-20 first - said Felipão.

Iseppe is part of the list of 30 players registered for the Copinha, which starts at the beginning of January.
