Atlético-MG reintegrates academy gem into the first-team squad after disciplinary incident

Midfielder Iseppe has been reintegrated into the first-team squad and took part normally in Monday’s training session at Cidade do Galo. The decision comes 10 days after the player committed a disciplinary infraction and was sidelined from group activities, in addition to being fined.

Considered one of the top talents from Atlético’s academy, Iseppe arrived late for training the day after a scoreless draw against Tombense in the Campeonato Mineiro. As punishment, he was fined and made to train separately, with his future left open. The information was first reported by Rádio Fã FM.

Recently, the player’s agent, Luciano Ramalho, spoke out and denied that Iseppe had been put on the market because of the incident. He also revealed that the player was remorseful.

— The player is aware of the mistake he made. He will accept the consequences, work even harder, avoid situations that could harm his image, and remain focused on his job. That sums it up. He knows he made a mistake, he will pay for it, and life goes on — said Ramalho.

Iseppe has been part of the first team since last year. This season, he started the first two matches of the State Championship as a starter.

In 2025, the midfielder showed changes in cardiological exams during preseason and had to stay away from the pitch for about four months. After that, he played one match with the senior team.

Now, he is available for the upcoming fixtures for the Black-and-White side. On Wednesday, Atlético visit RB Bragantino at 7:00 p.m., for the second round of the Brasileirão.
